CM Punjab Step Towards Green Revolution

CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz has come before us as a major breakthrough in the development of Punjab. After her arrival, development programs increased and Punjab played an important role in the development of Pakistan. After Maryam Nawaz’s arrival, many changes were made in programs and unsustainable programs were stopped, such as the Health and Insaf Card, and new programs are being tried in its place. 

In this regard, for the agricultural development of Punjab, CM Punjab expanded the Green Tractor Scheme so that farmers develop and Punjab develops.

What is the Green Tractor Scheme? 

The Green Tractor Scheme was launched by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to help farmers by providing them with cheap tractors in the morning and to develop Punjab agriculturally. This scheme was launched on September 20, 2024. Through this scheme, farmers were given subsidies in tractors so that farmers could purchase tractors on easy terms and get interest-free loans and increase their agricultural activities and development.

Eligibility criteria for the Green Tractor Scheme 

These are some of the factors that are considered as the criteria for the Green Tractor Scheme and they are mandatory for farmers to fulfill so that they can benefit from this scheme. 

Land ownership 

In this scheme, tractors are provided on subsidy to those farmers who have land ranging from one acre to 50 acres.

Age limit 

To apply for this scheme, a person should be between 18 years and 55 years, that is, he should have an identity card. 

No Debt

That person can apply for this scheme. A person who does not have any kind of debt, that is, he should not have taken a loan from any bank or any institution.

Specific land requirements 

According to some documents, those who have land ranging from 15 acres to 123 acres can also be eligible for this program.But the basic criteria has been set at one to 50 acres.

Registration process 

In the scheme You can register in this scheme in different ways. 

Online 

You can register in the Green Tractor Scheme even from home through an online method. For this, you should have the necessary documents. You will go to the link and fill the application form with the required details, in which you will enter the preferred model of tractor and your information and submit.

District office.

You can also submit your registration from the nearest district office. For this, you will take the form, enter the required information and submit it to the district office.

Required Documents 

To fill out the form, you must have these few correct documents, which include 

  • A national identity card that has not expired, 
  • A passport-sized photograph, 
  • A copy of Form B, 
  • And a land certificate, indicating how much land you own.

Tractors Information

According to the information received from Loans and Tractors, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that Phase II of the Green Tractor Scheme is being launched, in which loans worth Rs 100 billion will be provided through 628,000 Kisan Cards so that farmers can easily buy tractors. 

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that we cannot leave farmers behind in the stages of development.It is very important to take them along so that the country develops as a whole. That is why she announced new projects before the cultivation of the wheat crop.

Important Announcement

Maryam Nawaz has announced that we are considering advance subsidy proposals to reduce input costs. She added that farmers who have land up to 25 acres will be given diesel, fertilizer, seeds and other things on subsidy.The Kisan Card Phase II process fee has been reduced by Rs 1,000. The registration of 4,200 agricultural farmers in Kisan Card Phase II has been completed and the registration of 4,200 agricultural farmers in Phase I has been completed. 99 percent of the loan has been repaid. According to Kisan Card Phase II, 20,000 tractors will be provided on subsidy across Punjab. 

For small tractors

A subsidy of up to R.s 500,000 will be provided for tractors of 50 to 65 horsepower,

For big tractors

And along with this, a facility of up to Rs. 1 million will be provided for the directors’ price of 75 to 125 horsepower.

New tractors 

Coming Along with this, it has also been announced that applications for the Green Tractor Scheme will be received in August.While the process of manufacturing and distributing these tractors will be completed in the next month, i.e. September. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ensured that this scheme will be continuously monitored. 

The second phase of the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Model Agricultural Mall will be launched in ten districts by the end of July. 

Manufacturing Areas

The areas in which this mall will be manufactured have also been mentioned. 

  • The areas are Faisalabad, Jhang, Okara, Khanewal, Rajanpur, Vehari, Rahim Yar Khan, Sheikhupura, Attock, Mianwali, etc. It includes. 

Along with this, the areas in which this mall will be functional in July are Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur and Sahiwal.

Benefits of Green Tractor Scheme

Due to this scheme, the farmers of Punjab will get many benefits, which include: Productivity 

Modern tractors can significantly increase agricultural productivity, i.e. they can cultivate and harvest efficiently, which will increase agricultural production.

Low cost 

These tractors are being provided with subsidies and loans and will help farmers reduce their operational costs. 

Improved efficiency 

Mechanization will enable farmers to manage their land more efficiently by improving the efficiency of farming. 

Sustainable agriculture and easy installments 

This scheme promotes sustainable agricultural development and along with this, tractors are being provided on easy installments. 

Empowerment 

This scheme will introduce modern technology to the areas. Which will enable farmers to improve their crops and contribute to the local economy.
